Date: 14th - 17th October 2015
Venue: Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites, Ipoh, Perak.
Theme: Daniel - Work & Prophecy (Daniel 1:8)
Speaker: Mr KL Ng
In an age where God's work and so-called secular work are often kept in separate compartments of the Christian's life, this year's AFC will work to remove the unhealthy dichotomy by exploring the twin messages of the book of Daniel maintaining integrity and allegiance to God in the course of one's every day work; and the reality of the end-time prophecies from Daniel that will be fulfilled in the future. We will explore the work dimension before delving deeply into the specific end-time prophecies that are preserved for us in this amazing book of integrity, hope and promise.
KL Ng has worked in senior management positions as an IT professional in a career spanning almost 30 years, with experience in management, technical work, consulting, marketing and sales. An avid Bible student gifted in preaching and teaching, he is much sought after to share God's word in various settings. He currently serves as a deacon in the Assembly of Christians, a brethren assembly in Kuala Lumpur. During his years in Canada, he served in a Baptist Church and the Navigators. Over the past seven years, he has focused much attention on Creation Science and End Time Prophecies, sharing widely on these at various church and fellowship groups of all denominations. His mission is to strengthen, equip and prepare believers in their faith starting from the very first verse of the Bible, doing so alongside contemporary practical applications and evidences.
Launched on 1 January 2012, Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suite is one of the latest destinations
for holiday retreats in Ipoh. It is by far the largest hotel in Ipoh. Strategically located
in the centre of Ipoh city, it lies elegantly along the Kinta River and runs parallel with
Jalan Lim Bo Seng.
Ipoh, came into existence in the 1820s as a small village by a river bank, but it only really flourished during the tin rush of the 1870s when the British ruled Perak. Broad straight roads were built in town, flanked by rows of shops and majestic buildings. A proper market and even a theatre were built at some point to serve the growing population there. British business owners came to open up tin mining companies, and live the colonial life in what was then considered to be the exotic Far East.
During the AFC, we will be visiting several famous attractions such as the Gunung Lang Recreational Park, a man-made cascading waterfall atop a limestone hill, a 2km broadwalk over the swamp and lookout towers. In order to reach there, one must take a boat boat ride already included in your camp fees from the jetty.
We will also head off the see the art mural (Penang comes to Ipoh!) in town and later enjoy sipping some coffee at the original Ipoh Old Town White Coffee kopitiam. Last but not least, you will get to enjoy seeing the night lights opposite the hotel.
